Summer 2007

I blogged and forgot to post September... Here's the draft and I'll just have to update when I have more time...
Just a quick entry to update my life via the blog. This blogging thing is new to me... posting, that is, so bear w/ me as I forget to post, ramble, etc.
So Summer came and went. For those who know me well, you know that I love summer almost as much as fall. Maybe not this past summer, though. What a whirlwind it was.
Summer began on a sad note with the suddent death of my brother, Dave. I ended the school year in a daze, finshing projects, saying my goodbyes, shutting down and cleaning up, preparing for the start of a new year in September. I think fixing my room helped to avoid my sadness, so I dug in to a new task of preparation. I was in the process of buying a new house and figured that if I spent extra time in my classroom in June, I'd be able to spend less time in the classroom in September. Of course, here it is 9/6 and I am at work at 6:50 pm. Over 2 hours past when I wanted to go home today... I'll get into that new time frame in another post.
Anyway, Mike and I were in the midst of house purchase. We fell in love with an antique. The house was built in 1825... it has a name!
